Weighed some time later in the day the huge bird weighed slightly over nineteen pounds. This is one of the biggest eagles known to have been found in Cape Breton, indeed, it is arare thing for one of those birds to be found here now. It had likely made a descent on Mr. McLeod's hen coop when it was fought off by the game dog, who, wh‘le used up considerably, will sur- vive the battle with the eagle. HAY RIVER.
