Enman, from whose residence the razor and ladies sacque were taken; Israel Thorpe, who purchased the stolen razor from the bors; Jane T pe, who pure hased the facque from one of the brothers; the boy McLeod who identified the reefer stolen from his home King Street East; Marshal Cameron. who «wore ut the search warrant; Sergeant Bradiev and Officer Campbell, who sears hed the home of the Wanghn brothers and found a lot of stolen articles: William Bastian, who identified the accordeon as hia stolen from the resi- dence Mr. Miller. She had lived in Engiand, and was there imprison- ed for taking some money. The name by which she when she was convicted was Louise Egerton. She subsequently spent some time at St. James’ Home in London. She did not go there under the name of Louise Westlandt. She admitted being de- tained in prison in Bodman, Cornwall, awaiting trial on another charge of Georgina Parkyn. She had lived in Ire- land. She had gone from Bristol to London in July, 1885, where she entered the service of Mr. Stead, Editor of the Pall Mal! Gazetie. She was employed by him to interview the mother of Eliza Armstrong and also to interview women of evil fe to obtain proof that young children were being il ton immoral pur- poses. While in Mr. Stead’s employment she lived with Mrs. Booth, of the Salva- tion Army,underthe name of Margaret Herbert. In 1886, she came to America, under the auspices of the Salvation Army. She married Mr.Shephard in Charlottetown, P. E.1, on April 4, 1886, her first hus- band being then living, though without her knowledge. Both of her husbands are at present living. She parted from Shepard when she learned that Parkyn created a . } was alive. She had subsequently been engaged in work in connection with churches in Boston and Chicago. During Mrs. Shephard’s examination the court room was densely crowded and her replies were followed with close attention by all present. The suit against Mrs. Youmans ig not yet finished.
