As an evidence of his popularity in the Prairie Province, h> was waited upon, on Saturday evening, the 24th ult., by a pumber of the employes of the road and citizens, at Portage la Prairie, who presented Mr. and Mrs, Stewart with a congratulatory address, accom panied by a handsome gold ring and beautiful silver fruit basket. Mr. Stewart replied in cujtable terms, ard the evening was concluded with songs and epeeches.
