     IN pursuance of an Act of the General Assembly of this 
     
     Island made and passed in the Eleventh year of the 
     
     reign of Her Majesty. Queen Victoria. intituled ” An Act 
     
     for levying further on Assessment on all Lands in this 
     
     Colony, and lor the encouragement of Education;" and also 
     
     an Act in amendment of the said Act. intituled “An Act 
     
     to explain and amend the present Act for toe Assessment 
     
     of Land. and the encouragement of Education ;” and also 
     
     of an Act made and pa.-sed in the twenty fourth year of the 
     
     said reign, intituled. “ An Act to raise funds for the pur- 
     
     poses 01 Education by imposing an additional Assessment 
     
     on Land in this Island, and on real Estate in Charlotte- 
     
     town and Common and Georgetown and Common.” Ido 
     
     hereby give public netice that 1 have made proclamation 
     
     according to the terms of the said Acts. of all the under- 
     
     mentioned Town Lots, \Vater Lots. Uotnmon Lots. Pasture 
     
     Lots. Islands, Townships, or parts of Townships, in this 
     
     Island. in arrear lor the non-payment of the several sums 
     
     due and owing thereon to Her Majesty. under and by vir-

     Court during the said Term lor Judgment against the said

     ROAD COMFENSATION ACT. 
     
    
     PUBLIC NOTICE, 
     
    
     HEREAS the undersigned. by commission bearing date the 
     
    
     3rd day of December, 1864, have been appointed to enquire 
     
    
     What damage or advantage will accrue to the owners or occupiers 
     
    
     of the land through which it is intended to open a Road along the 
     
     Boundary line of Townships Nos. 23 and 31. 
     
    
     We do hereby give notice, that we will commence the execution 
     
     of said Commission, by attending on said Line, on WEDNESDAY, 
     
     the 8th day of MARCH next, at the hour of 11 o’clock, in the 
     
     forenoon, and thence proceed along the said new line of Road and 
     
     complete the said Commission, in terms of the Act of 14th Vic., 
     
     Cap. 1.

     Y virtue of a. writ of Statute Execution to me directed, issued 
     
     out of Her Majesty’s Supreme Court of Judicature, at the suit 
     
     of John Henry Gates, against Du mien McMillan, I have taken and 
     
     Seized as the property of the said Damien McMillan, all the right, 
     
     title, and freehold interest of the said Damien McMillan, in and 
     
     to Thirty-four acres of Land,situate on Lot or Township No. Fifty, 
     
     bounded as follows, that is to say, situate on both sides of the 
     
     Georgetown Road, that part on the South Slde bounded East by 
     
     property in possession of Mary, Ann and Martena McMillan; on 
     
     the South by Vernon River, and West by Property in possession of 
     
     Murdock McLeod, and North by the Georgetown Road; that part 
     
     on the North side of Georgetown Road being bounded East by land 
     
     in possession of George Vickerson, North by the old Township 
     
     line, West by Vernon River Chapel Lot. and South by the George- 
     
     town Road. containing in the whole Thirty-four Acres he the same, 
     
     more or less. in Queen 8 County; and Ido hereby give public notice, 
     
     that I will on Tuesday, the lst day of August, 1865, at 12 o’clock, 
     
     noon,at the Court House in Charlotteown, in the said County, set up 
     
     and sell, at Public Auction. the said property, or as much thereof 
     
     as will satisfy the.- lcvy marked on the said writ, being 182 9 11d., 
     
     with interest from the 24th November, 1862, until paid,and 163 8d. 
     
     for said writ. besides Sherilf’s tees and incidental expenses.
