The display of fancy work at Si. Joseph's Convent this year is of more than ordinary interest, both on account of its excellent quality, and the great variety of the pieces displayed. In the section allotted to Grade III is shown a large assortment of dish towels with designs of knlfn and fork, cup and saucer, etc, nice- ly worked in pleasing colors. Here are also shown samples of "darn- lng", an art that is being taught at an early age to the little pupils and judging from the samples there are many adepts in this grade. < The Classes Are Well Filled and Thrilling Racing is Assured Under the Three Heat Plan. The horse races at Summerslde on Dominion Day should prove ex- ceptionally good a‘s every class has filled splendidly. Take the 2.20 trot for instance. There are seven entries with five‘ sure starters, all good fast trotters that will put up a big fight and make thrilling racing. The 2.21 Pace is the one that the boys are looking forward to to fur- nish the fireworks. There is some terrific speed entered in this event, every entry having shown better than the 2 minute variety. Take Major Aubrey for instance. He has repeatedly shown a0 sec- onds for the quarter with a half easy in 1031-2. Bud Axworthy has been a half in 1.02.
