Each boy and girl is giving them great care. They are being brushed. patted. trained for show- ing, and, all course, well red. The Club should make is good showing at the Central Calf Club Show at Cherlottetown in September. The "Riverside" Cal! Club oi Montrose-Alma has a much re- duced membership and number of calves this year. The calves are of top quality and will give the experienced breeders and show- men keen competition in the open classes at the Alberton Exhibition this year. ..,.... The club met at Roy Bsrbour's. Friday, July 0th, and judged two classes of Holstelns. Morris Dea- con, Fieldman, was present to hear their reasons and to lead the instruction period in judging. The St. George's Ayrshire Cali Club met at the home of Den Mac- Lean, DeGros Marsh on Monday, July 9th (or a judging class. The ten members present made a good Job of placing the animals. Fol, lowing the judging a public meet.- lng was held in the school where iilms loaned by the National Film Board were shown.. The St. Catherine's Sliorthorn Club sponsored films loaned by the National Film Board on Tues- day, Julyiloth. These were shown on the lawn of Mr. W. R. Shaw. Ice cream. sort drinks. and cake were sold by the St. Catherine's Club. There was a good attend- ance oi members from St. Cather- ine's and New Argyle Clubs and also many or their parents and friends. The Miscouche Holsiein and Jersey Calf Club met at the home nl Edmund Gallant, Miscouche, for I. judging class Friday, July 13th at 4 o'clock. The 13 mem- bare present made e good Job of placing the four excellent Jersey cows. Before the judging, most or the members participated in a softball game. There are 13 calves in the club this you but only three ot them are Jerseys. Friday evening July 13th the Linklctter Club held their regular study meeting. Nine members were present and Robert Linklet- ter. the vice-president, presided. There were some discussions on the obtaining of club sweaters and the raising 0! more money for the treasury. Secretary-'rreas- iirer, Vera Rogers, reported 53.00 on hand. The club members have 8 calves and so slam will be needed for prize money.
