The carnival was very well attended. There was not a large display of costumes, but what there were, sel- dom has the rink sebn better and the judging was a. close matter, as the costumes were all 8'0 lovely on the ice. The Judges were Mr. J.‘ A. B. McConnell, Earl Lavers, and Temple Gotell. The ladies prize was won by Mrs. George Yorston, who received a beautiful gilt oi’ half dozen slire: forks. Mrs. Yorstonts costume repre- senting "Night” and the gentleman's prize was won by Mr. Havelock‘ Ste- wart, representing a Turk, the gift being a [beautiful necktie.
