ROYAL .\'I\'. .\ll sums of money paid by any person‘ purchasing Lands nnderthis Art, on account, of the purchase money thereof, or otherwise, when re- quired by this Act,shall be paid tothe(,‘ommissioner of Public Lands, who shall enter the particulars of each payment in his books, and give the person; making the payment,suchcertilicate,acknowledging the same, on his part, by endorsement. on the back of the deed, or otherwise, as the circumstance of the case may require 5 and the said Commissioner of Public Lands, at. the times and in manner set forth and directed by the Act for the purchase of lands on behalf of the Government of Prince lCd- ward Island, and to regulate the sale and manage- ment thereof, and for other purposes therein men- tioned, and ofthe Acts in amendment thereof, shall pay over to the 'I‘reasurer of this Island all such sums of money so paid to him as aforesaid, to and for the purpOSes ofthis Act, and for the use ofthe (Jovernment ofthis Island. XV. If the Commissioner of Public Lands shall, at any time, refuse, or wilfully neglect, to account with and pay over to the 'l‘reasurer all such moneys as he may receive under this Act, or to keep an account book thereof, or to aliow the inspection thereof, and of all other Books, Documents, Plans and Papers, by the Governn‘ient, he shall for every such refusal and neglect forfeit and pay to Her Majesty the sum of fifty pounds over and above the amount ol any deficiency in the said moneys, so by him payablegthe same to be recovered by Bill. Plaint or Inlormatimi in the Supreme Court of Judicature ofthis Island, to and for the use of Her Majesty’s Government. SCHEDULES to which this Act refers.
