Warning to Electors.
Unqualified Voters.
And person who votes at an election while knowing that
he is not entitled to vote cuniits an unlawful act:
Any other person who with a knowledge of such dis
qualification induces such person to vote is also guilty: each
being liable to forfeit $100 with costs to any one who sues
therefor.
Disqualificafion for_(`orrupf Practices.
f Everv person other than the Candidate found _ ,guilty o
any corrupt practice under the Dominion Elections Act shall
be disqualified for 8 years from voting at a Dominion Election
or from holding office under the Crown.
Non-residents Canvassing.
Persons residing outside Canada who are not entitled to
vote, are prohibited from canvassing at an election.
Contributions From Companies .
No Comyany or association, (except such as are incor
porated for political purposes alone) is permitted to contri-
bute or offer either directly or indirectly any money or its
equivalent in aid of any Candidate or political party, coni-
mittee or association at an election .
Every person who asks or knowing byzreceives any money
from such Company for such purposes and every officer,
agent or shareholder of such Company who takes part in
, such violation of the law by the Company is liable to be fined
and imprisoned.
_ Giving :r Selling Liquors on Polling Day.
l Every person who sells or gives away any intoxicating
‘ liquor at any place within the limits of any polling division,
during the whole of the polling day at an election, shall be
iable, on summary conviction, for each offence, to a penalty
f one hundred dollars, and to iniprisonmeut for a term not
xceeding six mouths in default of payment of such penalty.
Contributions for Election Purposes.
All contributions on behalf of any candidate made fo
election purposes (except for the personal expenses of th
Candidate) otherwise than to the Caudidate’s official agen
arc unlawful -and the person offending is guilty of an indie
able oilciicc. I
