HERFAS His \Vorship the Mayor ofthe City of Charlotte- town hath, on account of the recent tires which have taken place in this City, and which are supposed to be the work of luccndiarics, expressed to me his apprehension of impending dander from Incendinrism to this City, and his desire that a suit- able reward be offered for the detection and punishment of any person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts oflncendinrism: I have thought tit, by and with the advice and consent ofI-Icr Majesty’s Council, to proclaim, and I do hereb proclaim and offer a Reward of ONE HUNDRED POUNDS to any person or persons (not the actual party to the act) who will give such information and evidence as will lead to the dis- covery, apprehension and conviction of any person or persons who shall hereafter be guilty of any act or acts of Incendiarism. HIS Excellency the Lieutenant Governor in Council was this day pleased to fix and determine the rate at which the amount of the Invoice of Dutiahle Goods, imported into this Island from the United States of America, shall, in estimating the duties payable thereon, be reduced into current money of the Island, as follows:— In all cases where such Invoices shall be made out in Dollars and Cents ofthc paper currency of the United States, the amount of such Invoice shall be reduch into current nmncy of this Island, by allowing for each Dollar the sum of FOUR SHILLINGS AND SIX-FENCE, and in the like proportion for any fraction of a Dol~ lar; of which all Collectors oi Impost are to take notice and govern themselves accordingly.
