Failure to do so-will result in the notation “Did Not Write” (DNW) on the student’s transcript. b) The department will nor- mally require the writing of a spe- cial examination in the case of an examination which was missed. c) For explanations of sick- ness, a doctor’s certificate may be required. d) A fee of $5 per examination is normally charged. e) Special examinations are permitted only under excep- tional circumstances. Applica- tion forms must be complete at the Registrar’s Office and ap- proved by the department(s) con- cerned. i 2) Re-reading of Examina- tions — : a) Applications to have any paper re-read must be made to the Registrar within one month after the recording of results. b) Such an application must be ‘supported by a substantial reason in writing. c) A fee of $5 must be paid be- fore any paper is re-read. If the result of the re-reading is a rais- ing of hte grade, the fee will be returned to the student. d) Students who intend to appeal a course grade are cau- tioned that failing grades have been checked bery carefully and, barring a clerical error, appeals seldom result in higher grades. Incomplete subjects a) Students who fail to com- plete all the requirements of a course due to circumstances be- yond their control (such as ill- ness) may, with the permission _of the Professor, Chairman and Dean, be granted an amount of time deemed reasonable for com- pletion of said course.
