Mrs. Belle Gauthier. Miss Gauthier has been in Montreal for a number of years but always comes home for the summer far from the heat of the big city. A large crowd of men and women and a few children left here on Monday morning for the excursion to st. Anne de Beaupre. The large group was headed by Rev. Phalen Mcxenna, who has organized groups for several years. They will travel by special pullman train from Menc- ton and return to that city. Another young doctor from this section of the country has decided to come back to the Island to set up his office. He is Doctor 0'1-Ianley who joined the Charlottetown Clinic. His old home is in St. Peters Fishermen here report fishing very poor this summer. In fact the mackerel fishing has been at its worst in many a moon. Some of the fishermen have left the shore to seek employment in the city. Sev- eral young men were successful in this move but the older hands must stick to the seaside for their living.
