Mr. Key has been general manager of the company since 1942 but Mr. H. T. Holman was the president tili last January when the late Mr. A. B. L. Horne was elected president. Mr. Horne died in July. Recent changes in the owner- ship of the stock whereby Mr. Key bought Mr, Hoiman's shares gave him controlling interest with 77 per cent of the stock. At tho meeting yesterday Mr. John. E. Campbel‘ was elected vice-presi- dent and Mr. Roscoe Jeffery was appointed secretary-treasurer. Mr. Key went to work for the Hail Company in 1914 as an ap- prentice and spent three years in the machine shop and a number of years in the woodworking plant. Selling was his next step. which he began in 1927, travelling throughout the Maritimes. His work included servicing machin- ery. When Mr. John S. Ramsay died, Mr. Key became plant sup- erintendent and when the late Mr. R. C. Holman became ill he was appointed manager. This was in 1942. Mr. Key is active in community affairs, being a member of the Surnmerside Water and Sewage Commission. a member of the gfaagd of’ Trade and the Rotary u .
