Quebec has given Notice that during the season the navigation is open, a Light will be exhibited on the Peninsula in Gaspe Bay, 12 miles N. W. by N. from Cape Gaspe. The light is a fixed white light, elevated 40 feet above the level of the sea, with the following bearings from it :— Cape Haldimand, South. Gaspe Basin, W. é S. The light is intended to serve as a. guide to vessels passing between Sandy Beach and the main land opposite. [All Bearings are Magnetic.
