Ballem Honored At Church Picnic On Tuesday evening the good fellowship group of Summerside United Baptist Church. Walter , president, entertained at a picnic given in honor of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Ballem, who ar leaving Summerside in the near future to take up their duties else- where. The summer cottage of Mr. and Mrs. C. B. Jelly at Chel- ton Beach was the locale of this very delightful outing at which Mr. and Mrs. Ballem were presented with a "lazy Susan" as a token of the esteem in which they are held by all the members of the group. The presentation address was given by Mr. Walter Simmons and spoken to by Rev. Keith Hobson, pastor of the church. Mr. Ballem on behalf of himself and his wife responded with a short address of acceptance and thanks. expressing his regret at leaving Summerside and his many friends in the church, and telling of his conviction that he should branch out into fields of greater service. i A game of baseball was played until darkness intervened.
