Arrived at the hancel the clergy took their places in the stalls, while the Bishop proceeded to the communion table. Here he received tbe deed of the Church, and then pro:eeded c the dfifvrent ports of the church, where he offered up the usual prayers of conse. cration, following which the Chaplain read the Sentence of Consecration. : After this the rector, Rev. T. Bryan, read morning prayer, the first lesson being taken by Rev. Mr. Harper and the second lessen by Rev. J. Forbes. The special Psalms were the Sith, the ]22nd and _ the 132nd. Then followed Hymn No. 379, after which His Lordship proceeded to celebrate the Holy Communion. After the creed Hymn No. 104 was sung at the conclusion of which the Bishop ascended the pulpit ind preached a@ most earne-t and inspiring sermon from Fhill ppians 1, 911, for which we regret to say both time anu “pace prevent us giving a summary. The anthem sung after the sermon was “Except the Lord build the house,” and was beautifully rendered by the choir. Indeed, the musical part of the service was exceptionally good. The cengrega- tion of St. Paul’s deserves the highest praise for their efforts in thus dedicating for the service of God euch a beautiful building as the new St. Paui’s, which now stands unencumbered by debt and one of the handsomest houses of worship to be found in the provinces. = MARRIED Atthe manse, Charlottetown, on tle 22nd of July, by Rev. A meeting of the managing committee of the King’s County Exhibit.oa Associa tion was held on Saturday, at which Hon. D. Gordon, © pt. Mal. Mcvonald, D. &. Mackinnon, Arch. J. Macdonald, F. G. Bovyer, Wm. Gordon, Nathaniel Me- Laren, George B. Aitken, H. J..McPhee, G. A. Aitken and George F. Owen at- rended. The minutes of the Prize Lit Committee meeting having been read and approved, were adopted by the Associa- tion, and the changes made were ordered co be published in the prize list. A letter from J. J. Hughes, Eq., Souris, offering first, second and third prizes for best foals sired by bis stallion, Biliy McKie, was read, and the offer was accepted. Atter some bills had been dis posed of the committee considered the regulations to be adopted for the success- tul carrying out of the Exhibition. G. B. Aitken, Fs,,M. L. A., suggested that inducemeats should be held out to persons in outlying sections of the county to attend the exhibition at Gcargetowa and exhibit fueir stock. The following motion was proposed by Mal. M:Donald, Eq., seconded by Nathl. McLaren, Eq., viz., Th t the King’s County Exhibition, Asso- ciation wii pav 50 per cent. rebate of rail- way and steamboat freight for all exhibits of live stock (excepting horses) owned ont- Georg: town, provided entries are made with the secretary at least three days be fore Sept 30th, and that animals so enter- ed are shown on exhibition grounds on that day. It was moved in amendment by D. A. McKinnon, seconded by Wm. Gordon, that the matter of transportation ot stock ex - hibits be referred to & committee of three to enquire into and make arrangements with the railways and steamboats, said committee to report at next meeting f managing comm ttee. After consideratle discussion, the amendment was carried, and the following committee appointed, viz., D. A. M.- Kinnon, A. J. Macdona'd and Mal Mc- Donald. On motion of D. A. McKinnon, secon I- ed by Wm. Gordon, it was resolved that arrangements be made for holding an agricultural meeting similar to the ove held on exhibition day last year, and that trotting races be held between the address] es of each speaker. It was also resolved that a purse ot $75 be oftered fur three-minute elass trotting or pacing. with following conditions, viz: —lntries to be made Sept. 22. Five to enter and three to start. Purse divided into four moneys, 50, 25,15 and 10° per cent. Hat y fr, » per cent. of purse with nominatioe and 3 per cent. additional from winner-; @pei to horses owned in P. EK. I-land, ‘Lue dir ctorsto take charge of the several classes at the Exhibition were then appo:nted and some other matters having be+u at‘eaded to the meeting dis- reed. Jndging by the interest taken in the King’s Cointy Exhibition this year by the committees appointed; by the increased grant given by the Proviucial Government; by the largely {increased prize ls: and by the excellent idea of having a. agricul- tural meeting at which able men will de- liver pract c+! addresses or farming, stock raising and horticultural subjects, there is little dont that the Exhibition at George- town will be a great success. The project of having a trotting race between each of the addresses on agricultural subjects is also a new idea that should be satisfactory to the public, and with fine weather, there will be one of the best Exhibitions at Georgetown that bas yet been held there. The management will de their part and it is to be hoped that every farmer im the County will prepare some exhibits, fi side of a radius of twenty miles from {| PERSONAL. Mr. Jas. D.
