Last May Jim became quite concerned with the narrow mindedness of some Canadians. First, Jim had two hundred bumper stickers made containing his statement ‘‘My Canada includes Quebec’’ He placed these stickers on his truck as he drove across Canada. (Jim’s business is trucking) People began taking notice of Jim’s statement. Strangers would approach Jim and ask where they could get one of the bumper stickers. Jim gave away his stickers and they were gone in no time. Then Jim thought of a petition of Signatures which he describes as ‘‘one of the oldest features of democ- racy’. Jimpaid for these huge signs saying ‘‘MY CANADA INCLUDES QUEBEC.’’ Many concerned Canadians have sent letters and money to Jim. Jim wished for it to be known that he isn’t touring Canada with his statement for any political cause. Jimis totally independent in expressing his feelings about Canada. Jim has the true Canadian spirit. He sees his country asa very diverse land which includes all provinces and territories. Jim’s spirit has inspired two assistants to travel with him and help out. They are volunteering their time and talent. Jim began his Canada tour in Charlottetown and he will be touring until May of ’92 when he will present his petition to the people of Quebec.
