Miss Laura Young, Friends and relatives in this pro- vince wit-ere saddened when news came on March 26th, 1947, o! the death of Mrs. Daniel Magee (lice Janie Mann) at. Monctcn, N.B. at tile early age of 25 years. She was the eldest daughter of‘ Mr. and Mrs. Keir Mann. Irishtowtn‘, and attended Irishtown School where she was highly regarded by teach- ers and pupils, and al-wcys at the head of her classes. After fitting herself for a business career, she accepted a position in Monctorl. Later, she married and made her home there. For some time her health had been declining, but so slealthlly had» ill health crept in that recognition of the fact came to late to save her, and medical skill and lovitng can! could only ease tier last days. Besides her sorrowing husband and parents, she leaves to mourn a young son, two sisters and a brother, Gladys, Eleanor and John Robert besides marry other relatives and friends. The death occurred on March 24th of Winfield Scott highly respected citizen of Strath- rona, Prince Edward Island in hrs eighty-first. year. He was wcll and active until a year before his death. He was horn in Cape Cod, Mass. and moved to Boston in his carly ynulh. His wife, the former Jane‘.
