That although it conferre l certain immunities u on the Baron, yet, that‘. it merited the title it care, because it protect- . ed every individual of the nation, bond, as well 3 free, in the full enjoyment of his life, his, liberty, and roperty, unless declared to be‘ forfeited by the law of the land. A retracted and spirited discussion fol- lowed, promoted by Benjamin Davies, Esq., and others, and was well sustained until a late Ilia Honor the President, will on Tuesday next, deliver it lecture u on “ the Occult Sci- ences,” and will conclu e the present session, by giving it brief review of the past proceedings 0 the Institute, and by pointing out the future course of progression. GAS LIGHT COMPANY. The Charlottetown Gas Light Company, held their Annual General Meeting on Tuesday the 1st May, when the following gentlemen were elected directors for the ensuing year, via :— Hon.
