Jubilee Camps In 1960, Canadian Girl Guides ~ill be celebrating their Golden tbilee. Some of their most ex- citing plans are for Jubilee Camps, which are to ‘be held in every province across Canada. Two thirds of the expenses for these camps are to be paid for by a special fund, set up by the Dominion camp committee, to which Girl Guides from all over Canada have been contributing. Twenty-two Guides from P.E.I. will be representing this Province at these camps. The girls will be away for one month, from July 13 until August 13. The P.E.I. committee instituted a quota the Lone Guides. Prince County was allowed five candidates; King’s County — five; Queen's County. because of a larger Guide population, seven; Lone Guides— five. This is. the first time that Lone Guides in P.E.I. have ever been screened for camping out- side the province.
