Smith (nee Eciui Roberts. n), at the age of d9 years. in failing health for some time suffering from the effects of two parai tic strokes, the late Mrs. Smith's eath was sud- den and came as a shock to her family and many friends. The late Mrs. Smith resided in Charlottetown for the ast three years, but had lived e greater rt of her life in the village oi respect by her many friends anr n‘ “h . Possessing a kind an cheerful dis ositlon. she endcare herself to al who had the privileg- of her acquaintance. Her never fI-illnl charity. especially to the sicl; and afflicted. and the hospitality of her home merited for her s wide circle of friends who will ever cher- ish her memory. The deceased bore her prolonged illness with resigne- lion and christian fortitudemoce t- ing all things as coming from e hand of God. She was a devout members o! St. Maiachyh Church, Klnkcra. for which parish she worked with untiring zeal while health permitted her. Besides her sorrowing husband. there are left io mourn the loss cf an exemplary Christian wife and mother one son. William, oi Kin- kora, and two daughters, Mary and Ada, of Charlottetown. Three bro- thers, William, Henry and Ezekiel Roberts. of Kinkora, also survive. On May 13th the remains were conveyed from her late residence in Charlottetown to the home of her son.
