I... Georgetown flttingly observed the “Twelfth” on Thursday last by , holding a picnic at “-Riverdale," Brud» enell River, the house of Mr. and Mrs. John A. Gordon. The weather was ideal and the sun according to situation and a pleasing company made this the most successful -picnic of the season A large number f ers e L 0 L were _ Dresent and the grounds presented a very gay appearance enlivened by a large Union Jack which floated grand- ly supreme on the _flag staff and a beaut ful Orange Bannrar of Star of the East Lodge. Many of the picnic- ers amused themselves by playing skill and prowess such as Quolts. Throwing the Light Hammer, Racing and Tug of War were also played to the enjoyment nf all. About three o’clock in the afternoon, ice cream _ land cigars were served lavishly to all and later all sit down to a bountiful repast served on the lawn by 1, he Lad- ies of the Lodge. Instrumental music was also supplied by the Victorola so generously lent for the occasion by Mr. C. A. Conrad and some of the more light hearted tripped lightly to the music, others derived pleasure from boating on the beautiful Brude- nell River. The hour growing late the guests all departed after thanking Mr. and Mrs. Gordon for their kindness as host and hostess. Before the party left however three rousing cheers and i a tiger were given for Orange Lodge of Georgetown. Credit for this en- oyable outing is due in a large man- ner to the untirlng efforts of Mr. S. N. Johnson. W.
