Stewart and elsewhere were deeply grieved to learn of the passing on Jan. 13th, of John McKearney, a highly re~ spected resident after a lengthy 111 Stewart (I) gessn Mr. and Mrs. Peter Doucette o n was a" “my” °‘ and family. Mt. Stewart (1) C.N.Rys‘ n was awarded Imperial Service medal by his majesty King George VI for long and faithful service. Upon retirement on Nov. 17. 1950, he took up farming which was ly ended by illness that did not for thirty~two years respond to best medical skill M’ and nursing and frequent per- iods of hospitalization. After three years it became necessary for his removal to Prov. nurs- ing home where he was capab- ly nursed by the efficient staff. On Dec. 9. he sustained a frac- tured hip which proved too much for his already weakened condi- tion, and fortified by the last rites of the Holy Catholic Church administered by Rev. Fr.
