However, I would like to remind seniors, who are considering grad or profes- sional schook, that they need to be looking now for financial assistance. I would suggest that they begin by seeing the Chairman of their Department I would like to remind stu- dents who are dissatisfied with their student loan to appeal. Very often students are not assessed correctly because of misinformation. In most cases the appeal process is just a matter of paper shuffling for the Student Aid office. Deadline: October 15 Donna & Peter Meincke Alumni Scholarship and UPEI Alumni Association Scholarship The two above mentioned scholarships, valued at $500 each are open to senior, full- time students (carrying five courses per semester) who are scheduled to graduate in May, 1987. Deadline: Noon, October 15 Freida Creelman Memorial Scholarship This scholarship, valued at $300 is available to female students pursuing full-time study in any one of the crea- tive arts: music, art, drama, or writing. This award is avail- able to applicants who have resided in P.E.1. for at least 5 or the last 10 years. The scholarship is to be awarded first on the basis of scholastic ability, and secondly on finan- cial need. Application forms available from Student Services. Deadline: October 15 Canadian Water Resources Association Scholarship in Water Resources This association offers one $500 award for undergraduates and two $1,000 awards for graduate students whose pro- gramme of study focus upon water resources in Canada.
