By the collision of two freight trains on the Troy and Boston Railroad to-da;, near Pownall, Vt., seven men were killed Cholera. Lonpon, Aug. 1. There were 12 deaths from cholera among the British troops in Egypt on Tuesday, The disease is spreading among the Sussex regiment at Ismailia, where 20 men, includ- ing a captain end a doctor, have died within the last three days. A Chicago despatch states (iat a report reached there last night that a train bearing an excursion party of 170 persons, bound for Grand Canon, was precipitated from the trestle crossing the palisades of Black Canon into the Gunnison River, and 140 persons were killed or wounded. The chasm known as Black Canon, where the accident occurred, is on the Denver & Rio Grande Railroad, just east of Wasatch Mountains. Up to 3 o'clock yesterday there was no confirmation of the report.
