The rc- port was sent in by a member ot the club executive. Seems you are having a bit. of trouble with attendance. Oh well. Christmas. you know! Believe me if any so- ciety ls to function. it needs its members to be present. But as the lrlsh would say: "lt will all come out in the wash" or was it the Irish? Anyway, here it is! The Scouters Club meeting or- iginally scheduled for St. Peters l-lall en December 3rd was held at the home o! Mr. and Mrs. R. C. Parent. Before the meeting, two members were introduced to all present and to say the least, it was a very poor attendance. We feel that if some of the leaders’ Packs and Troops were as poor in attending meetings as their leaders are. that Scouting would soon become a thing of the past. It is strange how the same faces show up at each meeting and others are never seen. The meeting was opened by the chairman, Abe Zakcm. followed by the reading of the minutes of the previous meeting. A short dis- cussion followed re a Christmas party, before the meeting closed. We had as our guest Cpl. Green of the noun. who very kindly outlined the R. C. M. P. campaign against juvenile delinquency. which was very interesting. One point that was stressed by Cpl. Green was the fact that if a por- son is interested in anything th-~y can always find a little more timc to devote to it. This might even refer to our Scouts-rs’ meetings. Cpl. Green also showed Scur- let and Gold. technicolor film de- picting training, etc.. of some members of the It. C. M. P. The Club members are certainly very grateful to Cpl. Green for his kindness in aiding us to have something a little different at our meetings. in order to encourage attendance. Camp Buchan fiim was also shown as some present had not seen it. After the show- ing of films the lunch committee mnrlo a splendid effort in their dulios 0i supplying refreshments Thus the meeting was over and lll (lenarterl for home more than '-: ‘whterl with the pleasant even- ‘nq they had.
