Doucette feels that too many students seem resigned to the increasing costs of edu- cation. As a result, fewer individuals are willing to speak against the issue. “There’s this rut of res- ignation,” Doucette said. “But it’s so wrong. The more you exercise your voice, the more things change.” Every full-time student at UPEI is a member of the CFS. Doucette hopes that students see this membership as a chance for a stronger voice. Doucette was pleased that around a dozen students signed up to become more in- volved with the CFS during the Days of Action. “Students need to have an awareness of education and of their rights as students,” she said. “There is a lot of hope.
