Daniel Mclx‘innon at d John Fraser, situate near the Upper part of Prince Street, in the City of Charlottetown, together with several lwelling Ilouses, and other buildings ad- jacent, were Consumed by Fire : And whereas, on the morning of Sunday. the Fifteenth day of July last, a Dwelling House, situate on thelcorner of Pownal and King Street, in Charlottetown afore- said, and formerly owned by the lleirs of the late Samuel Bagnall, Esquire, was consumed by fire, as also very many other Dwelling Houses and Buildings to which the said fire unavoidably extended, by which property to a vast amount in value, belonging to divers of the inhabitants of the said City, was totally destroyed: And whereas, on the night of Saturday last, the Eleventh day of August, instant, a Carriage Factory or Workshop, situate near Upper Queen Street, in the said (.‘ity, occupied by Mr. John Stewart, was discovered to be on fire, and would have been con- sumed had not the said fire been speedily extinguished: And whereas there is great reason to suspect and believe that all or some of the said fires originated by the wilful and felonious act of some evil disposed perSon or persons at present undiscovered.
