LONDON, Eng., June 24'-whllemne government will lose many votes over the insurance act, the new registra- tion bill introduced this week will deprive the Unionists of half 9, million votes, by killing plural voting and lessening the qualifying- term -neces- sary to acquire a vote. The registra- tion bill is generally popular. London is lust now keenly discuss- ing the cause of the warning popular- ity of cricket while foétball matches draw scores of thousands of specta- tors and 20,000 people sometimes at- tend polo matches. The big county cricket matches often have only 200 or 300 spectators. Critics are agreed that the real cause ofthe decline of cricket are the slowness of the ge-me, the long waits, snobbish distinc- tions between amateurs and profes- sionals, and indifferent players. We have no grace among' us.
