Each piece was played from memory and from the youngest little tot to the oldest ancl more experienced players there was not a faltering note. It is hardly fair to single any particular pupil out for special mention, but the performance o1 Miss Malllnson who is only sixteen years of age, was without a doubt the most outstanding of the older pupils. Her rendition of Liszt. "Hungarian Rhapsody" played from memory was simply marvelous. Miss Mallinson has a. deep touch and light fingering and plays with ex- pression and meaning not often found in so young a. pupil. The misses F‘. and L. Gallant. Mary Silliphant and the Misses MncPhee and Miss Mal-Neill also in the senior groups, need no in- iroduction to a. Summerslde audi- ence, piaying their pieces with beautiful expression. Of the younger pupils, perhaps Miss Downing. Miss Callaghan and the Misses Silliphailt were worthy 0f special mention, each showing great promise in their ease in play- ing most difficult pieces. . “Return of the Reapers" by M Kelly was very delightful. Some charming songs made a pleasant interlude to the instrumental mu- sic. Rt. Rev. Mgr. MacLellan, V. (3., in complimenting the pupils, ex- pressed the hope that they would a‘l strive to become accomplished pianists, which he felt sure they would be if they continued in their efforts as tonight's performance showed they were capable of do- ing. He made specal mention of Miss Mallinsons performance. PR/OGRAMIME Duet, 1w. MacPhee, J. MaoPhee, M. Kelly, L. Gallant. The Twins, Donald and Dorothy MacPhee. At the Farm. M. Callbeck.
