A highly esteemed citizen passed away yesterday morning in the per- son of Mr. George R. Montgomery. Few men were better known and none more favourably than the late Mr. Montgomery, his business connections for many years extending practically all over the province. He was born in Malpeque seventy one years ago, a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. James Montgomery. When a boy he be- gan his mercantile career, first serv- ing an apprenticeship as sarssman in the employ of i\'a late Mr. R. T. Hol- man, and later opening a general store of his own in Alberton.
