The gentlemen who led this particular discussion informed the meeting that more than 70 per cent of farm workers felt they could make greater financial progress than the city worker over a period of time. The conference was also told that the survey indicated. that rea- sonable and regular hours were the most important factor in good em- ployer-employee relations in agri- culture. Second in importance to hours worked, were good food and living quarters. Strangely enough, good wages were shown to be the third most important item affect- ing good relationship, between farm labourers and their employers l ecu .
