The play was listened to with wrapt at- tention, the hall being filled on this occasion. ‘The Winning of Joy" is true to life and those representing the different. characters could not have been better chosen, each did his or her part in such a way as to make it very real. The training was under the direction of Mrs. E. M. Aitkcn and Mrs. J. A. Campbell, who are to be congratulated not. only on the sel- ection of the drama, which was of a. splendid moral type but also for their part in the SllCCBSSful carrying out of the nmole affair.
