Mr FIREMEN CALLED — Firemen were called out yesterday morning at 4.15 to a blaze between the walls of a house at 208 King St. Damage ‘was slight. At 11.25 a.m. yesterday an overheated oven started a fat fire at 128 Elm Ave.. which the firemen subdued before any dam- age uas done. A hurried call from Keppoch Beach sent the fire equip- ment there to fight a bush fire which was endangering several city owned summer cottages. Their services were not required however as A large government owned bull- dozer tore. into the area surround- ing the cottages and made a fire- atop ring of earth vihich permit- ted the fire to burn itself out. He now has his own legal office in the Currie Building.
