M Magistrate's Court Al Georgetown Magistratc's Court was held in the Court House in Georgetown on Thursday morning at 10:00 a. m.. when Siipendiary Magistrate for King's County, Joseph W. Mac- Donald. K.C., heard several cases. The first case heard involved a resident of Lyndsle in Queen's County, who pleaded guilty to a charge of being intoxicated in a public place. contrary to section 36(2) of the Prince Edward Island Tc-niipcrance Act. A fine of S2000 and costs was imposed or in de- fault of payment 30 days in King's County Jail. A resident of Peakc's pleaded guilty to a charge under section 539 of the Criminal Code of Canada. with unlawfully and wilfully doing damage to the ex- teni of S200. by breaking a window in St. Patrick's Road School. The accused was fined 520.00 and costs which included the expenses of re- placing thc damaged prc-perty or one month in jail. In the final case a resident of Murray River had a plea of guilty entered on his behalf to a charge under section 5l(d) of the Highway Traffic Act. of unlawfully driving a motor vehicle on the public highway. without first obtaining at license for the current year. S. of Montague Trinity United Church. which was postponed because of the church supper, was held on Friday evening at the home of Mrs. Ethan Stewart and was well attended. The devotional service was is- ken by Mrs. M. Macbean, the theme being "One In Christ". Scripture was read by Mrs. L. Macbeod. and a brief talk by the leader on Dr. Kagawa was given. Plans were made for I C. G. I. T. rally, which is to be held in the church hall. Reports of sick and hospital calls were given: 46 hospital. 22 sick calls were made. 24 treats and five cards were sent. Mrs. Horace Fraser then gave an interesting talk on Japan from the study book, telling the story of Temko San. a little Japanese girl. The meeting closed with the Mizpah benediction.
