TO ALL MANKIND, A BOON TO THE SICK! The want of a sterling medicinal preparation to meet the many ‘ills that flesh is heir to,” and one entirely free from minerals and other deleterious particles, was severely felt till this all powerful medicine was ushered into the world. Hollo- way’s invaluable Pills have become the Household remedy ofall vations. ‘beir attribute isto prevent as well astocure. They attack the roo¢ of the complaint, and thus by removing the hid- den cause of disease, re-invigorate and restore the drooping energies of the system, assisting nature in her task of vital and functionary reformation. INDIGESTION, The great scourge of this country, as well as of al) hot cli- mates and marshy districts, yields quickly to a course of these invaluable Pills, and the digestive organs are restored to their proper tone, and fevers of all kinds avoided, It matters not in what shape this derangement exhibits itself, Holloway’s searching and unerring remedy expels it from the patient’s system. : GENERAL DEBILITY, * Prom whatever cause, Lowness of Spirits, and all other signs of a diseased liver, or of a general disorganization of the system, vanish under the eradicating influence of this powerful and most searching remedy, which in warm and reluxing climates aet like a charw. FEMALES Should lose no time in trying a tew doses of this regulating and renovating medicine, whatever may be their complaint. It can be taken with safety in all periodical and other disorgan- izations. Its effect is all but miraculous, either to young per- sons entering into womanhood, or to those at the turn of life. BILIOUS COMPLAINTS. Those who suffer from bile and liver complaints should try the effect of this valuable remedy, a few doses of which will make the sufferer feel elastic and vigorous, reinove all imnpedi- ments, cleanse the blood from aij] impurities, give a healthy action to the liver, and, strengthen the stomach. If bilieus attacks bevallowed to continue without using such a preventive, fever will arise, and the sufferer be confined to a bed of sick- ness. These Piijls are an extraordinary remedy in removing acidity from the stomach and correcting indigestion, especially in hot and swampy localities. A CERTAIN CORE FOR COUGHS AND COLDS. Tne cause of half the diseases to which humanity is liable is the mode of treating the human system when attacked with these disorders, which often lead ultimately to a fata! result. By persevering in the use of Holloway’s Pills, the most obstinate cold or cough is soon checked and cured ; for this medicine, by purifying the blood, regulating the secretions, checking the de- praved humors, and encouraging a free perspiration, rapidly puts the system into a sound and vigorous condition, thereby enabling it to throw off the disorder. The cure is complete and perma- nent, particularly if Holloway’s Ointiwent be well rubbed into the chest and throat night and morning. COMPLAINTS INCIDENT TO CHILDREN. In no country in the world are more children carried to an early grave than in this. Cough, measles, scarlatina, fevers and similar diseases attack the little sufferers, and death but too often follows at a rapid pace; yet, if at the first stage of the complaints parenis were to have recourse to Holloway’s Pills, all danger would be avoided ; for the stomach and bowels being gently but effectually cleansed by this imild aperient, the de- praved humours corrected, and the secretions duly regulated, a perfect cure is soon effected, and the little patieut is restored to sound health. COLES. a Scrofula, or King’s Evil, | isa constitutional disease, a corruption of the blood, poor. Being in the circulation, it ades the: whole body, and may burst out in disease on any a <> No © is free from its attacks, nor there one which it may not destroy. The scrofu- lous taint is variously caused by mercurial disease, low living, disordered or unhealthy food, impur; air, filth and filthy habits, the depressing and, above all, by the venereal infection. What- ever be its origin, it is hereditary in the constitu. tion, descending *‘ from parents to children unto the third and fourth generation ;” indeed, it seems to be the rod of Him who says, “I will visit the iniquities of the fathers upon their children.” Its effects commence deposition from the blood of corrupt or ulcerous matter, which, in the lungs, liver, and internal organs, is termed tuber- cles; in the glands, swellings; and on the surface, eruptions or sores. This foul corruption, which genders in the blood, depresses the energies of life, so that scrofulous constitutions not only suffer from scrofulous complaints, but they have far less power to withstand the attacks of other diseases; con- ently, vast numbers perish by disorders which, ine h not scrofuious in their nature, are still ren- dered fatal by this taint in the system. Most of the consumption which decimates the human family has its origin directly in this scrofulous contamina- tion; and many destructive diseases of the liver, kidneys, brain, and, indeed, of all the organs, arise from or are aggravated by the same cause. One quarter of all our people are scrofulous ; their ns are invaded by this lurking infection, and their health is und ed by it. To cleanse it from the we must renovate the blood by an alterative medicine, and invigorate it by healthy food and exercise. Such a medicine we we +. AX EBS Compound Extract of Sarsaparilla, the most effectual remedy which the medical skill of our times can devise for this every where pre- vailing and fatal malady. It is combined from the most active remedials that have been discovered for the expurgation of this foul disorder from the blood, and the rescue of the s from its destructive consequences. Hence it should be ce for the cure of not only scrofula, but also other affections which arise from it, such as Exuptive and Sxin Diseases, St. AnrHony’s Fire, Ross, or Enxystretas, Piweres, Pusrutes, Biorenss, Brarxs and Bors, Tvxors, Terrer and Sstr Ruevm, Scatp Heap, Rixeworm, Rusvmatis, Syrurtrric and Mercvriat Diseases, Dropsy, Dyspepsia, Desruiry, and, indeed, att CoMPLALNTS ARISING FROM VITIATED OR Impure Bioop. The popular belief in ** impurity of the blood” is founded in truth, angen isa ee dk the blood. The i urpose and virtue of this Sarsapa- vite te purify and regenerate this vital fluid, without which sound health is impossible in con- taminated constitutions, Ayer’s Cathartic Pills, FOR ALL THE PURPOSES OF A FAMILY PHYSIC, _ are so composed that disease within the of their action can rarely withstand or evadethem. Their pen- etrating properties search, and cleanse, and invigorate every portion of the human organism, correcting its diseased action, and restoring its healthy vitalities. As a consequence of these properties, the invalid who is bowed down with pain or physical debility is astonished to find his health or energy restored by a remedy at once so simple and inviting. Not only do they cure the every-day complaints of every body, but also many formidable and gerous diseases. The agent below named is pleased to furnish gratis my American Almanac, containing certificates of their cures and directions for their use in the follow- ing complaints: Costiveness, Heartburn, Headache, arising | disordered stomach, Nausea, Indigestion, Pain in and Morbid Inaction of the Bowels, Flatulency, Loss of Appetite, Jaundice, «nd other kindred com- plaints, arising from a low state of the body or obstruc- tion of its eee Ayer’s Cherry Pectoral, FOR THE RAPID CURE OF Coughs, Colds, Influenza, Hoarseness, Croup, Bronchitis, Incipient Consumption, and for the relief of Consumptive Patients in ad- vanced stages of the disease. So wide is the field of its usefulness and so numerous are the cases of its cures, that almost every section of country abounds in persons publicly known, who have been restored from alarming and even desperate dis- eases of the lungs by its use. When once tried, its superiority over every other medicine of its kind is too apparent to escape observation, and where its virtues are known, the public no longer hesitate what antidote to employ forthe distressing and dangerous affections of the pulmonary organs that are incident to our climate. While many inferior remedies thrust upon the community have failed and been discarded, this be gained friends by every trial, conferred benefits on the afflicted they can never @rget, and produced cures too numerous and too remarkable to be forgotten.
