or bran stirred in it. A litter of young
pigs will increase in weight at the rate
of from two to four pounds per day.
Consequently, after they are a week
old the sow should be fed in such a way
as to promote the production of milk.
During cold weather it will be found
proitable to give the sow her feed in a
warm condition, at a temperatue any-
milk, butter-milk. shorts, bran, ground
oats, with a small quantity of oil cake,
make excellent feeds. The shorts an
