BRYENTON , ' _Winsloe, Dec. 4th, 1918 < I » DEAR MRS. BRYENTON .--The. Quarterly Official ard of the Winsloe Circuit des re to express its. deep sense of oss sustained through the death of your beloved husband. As a mem_ber of -the Church, Church Steward and treas- urer of the Trustee Board, he was characterized as a Christian gentleman, devoted tothe Church laboring at all times with devoted earnestness to further the ideals for which the Church stood. 'His service given freely without osten- tation and"display, we had hoped for him in the future a still greater and enlarging sphereof usefulness. But the dear Father who made and loveth all willed it otherwise, and whilst we submit to his will know- ing that he doeth all things well yet we miss him in our Church, Sunday School and community life. We also desire to express to you the one more deeply mourning his departure our heartfelt sympathies. This disposition of God’s Provid- enec in removing him in the noon' tide of life may seem baffling to you now, but that which is not clear now shall be hereafter, and may be in the Better Land you’ll read 'the meaning of your tears and then perhapsyou'll understand We trust therefore. that while your heart is heavy in longing for the sound of the _voice that is stilled you may look to him who is too wise to err and too good tobe unkind, that you may look forward as becometh u Christian to that bright and cloud- lcss morning when the dead in ifhrist shall rise and you shall set each other without the veil bc- txrccn. may the fruition of that hopi- sustain you no\v is our very sincere prayer. . ~ Signed on behalf of Board.
