Roliablo Testimony. e call the attention of the reader to the following letter from President Smith, of Wesleyan University? MippLEetOWN, Conn., Feb. 28, 1859, Seta W. Fows.e & Co.—Gentlemen: —I first made use of the Oxygenated Bitters some feven oF eight years since. Having suffered for twenty years from a form of dyspepsia, which was attended with a@ nervous headache, on an average of not less than one day in a week, I was induced, by the unpretending rec- omunendation of Dr. Green, “to try one bottle, and if no benefit was received to discoutinue the use.” The use of one bottle warranted a further trial, to the extent of some three or four, with 2 careful chservance of the accompanying directions. The result was, an almost entire relief from the usual dyspeptic Fymptoma and their depressing, painful consequences. I believe these Bitters oroduced an entire change in the habits of my system, and upon the active energies of the digestive organs. [ now deem myself as exenspt from Dyspepsia as most persons. These Bitters have also been ot ser- vice to other members of my family. Very respectfully yours, AUGUSTUS W. SMITEL THE OXYGENATED RITTERS. THE OXYGENATED BITTERS. STODDARD, N.HL., Sept. 39, 1859. Messrs, ScTH W. FOWLE & Co., Gents : — L was, for many years, a great sufferer from Dyspepsia or Waterbrash, and tried almost everything within my reach, but to no benefit, until 1 was induced by the recommendation of my physician, Dr. Hazelton, to make use of the Oxygenated Bitters. The first bottle produced but a shght alteration in the disease, and had it not been for the urgent request of my physician, [ should then have discontinued their nse, thinking them to be of no avail; but his confidence inspired me to per- severe, and after using to the extent of half a dozen bot- tles, I had entirely regained my health, IT hope all Dyspeptic persons will be induced to give them a fair trial, being confident that the remedy is the most potent, for the various forms of Dyspepsia, Unat has been pro- diced. KNOWN THROUGHOUT THE WORLD Secondary Symp-} &c., &c. | | | | Bad Legs, Bad Breasts, Sores and Uleers. All description of Sores are remediable by the proper and diligent | use of this inestimable preparati.n. To attempt to cure bad lege by | plastering the edges of the wound together is a folly; for should the | Skin unite, a boggy diseased condition remains uaderneath tv break out | with tenfuld fury in a few Gays. The only rational! and successfel treat- ment, a3 indicated by nature, is to redace the inflainmatior in and about the wound, and to soothe the neighbouring parts by rubbing in plenty of | the Ointment as salt is forced intu meat. This will cause the malignant humours to be drained of from tbe hard, swollen and discoloured parts round about the weund, sore or ulcer, and when these humours are re- moved the wounds themselves will soon bea); warm bread and water poultices applied over the affected parts, after the Ointment has been well rubbed in, will soothe and suften the same, and greatly assist the cure. There is a descrip ion of ulcer, sore, and swelling which necd not | be named here, attendant upon the follies of youth. and tor which this | Ointment is urgently recommended as a sovereign remedy. In curing | Such poisonous sores it never fails to restore the system to a heulthy | State if the Pills be taken according to the printed instructicns | Diptheria, Uleerated Sore Throat, and Scarlet and other Fevers. Any of the above diseases way be cured by well rubbing the Ointment three times a day into the chest, throat and neck of the patient; it will | soon penetrate, and give immediate relief. Medicine taken by the mouth | must operate upon the whole system ere its influence can be felt »n any | local part, whereas the Qintiseut will do its work at once. Whoever | tries the unguent in the above manuer for the diseases named, or any | Similar disurders affecting the chest and throat, wi.l find themse!ves re- | lieved as by a charm. Ail sufferers from these Complaints shogid ene | Velupe the throat at bed time in a large bread and water poultice after | the Ointment bas been well rubbed in; and if the sules of the feet are likewise rubbed with the Ointwent every night, it will greatly assist the cure of the throat and chest. Teo allay the tever and lessen inflaama- | ion, eight or ten Pills should be taken night and morning The Owtment will produce perspiration, the grand essential in all cases of fevers, sore throats, or where there might be an oppression of the chest either from astima or other causes, Piles, Fistulas, Strictures- The above class of complaints is surely removed by nightly fermenting the parts with warm water, and then by effectually rubbing in the Ount- | ment. Persous suifering frou, these direful complaiots should lose not @ wowent in arresting their progress. It should be understood that it is not sufficient merely to smear the Ointment on the affected parts, bab it must be well rabbed in for scine considerable time two or three tim® a day, that it may be taken into the system, whence it will remove a hidden sore or wound as effectually as though palpable to the @- Tuere again bread and water poultices, after the rubbing in of the t- went, will do great service. This is the only sure treatuent for fes@les, pene of caucer in the stomach, or where there may be a genera) Maring vwnh,. , Imprudencies of Youth;---Sores and Ule Blotches, as also swellings, can with certainty be radigally cured if the Ointwont be used freely, and the Pills be taken nig dd morning as recommended iu the priuted instructions. When treated in any other way they only dry up in one place to break out in ggetber; whereas this Ointiwert will rewove the bumour irom the system, and Jeave the patient a vigorous and healthy being. It will ragiire time with the use of the Fills tu ensure a lasting eure. Dropsical Swellings, Paralysis and Stiff Joints- Although the above complaints differ widely in their origia and na- ture, yet they all require local treatment. Many ot the worst cases of such diseases will yield, in a comparatively ghort space of time, when this Ointment is diligently rubbed into parts affected, even alter every otber means havd failed.
