Each Brownie was presented with a tie .\y the Guides who showed the Brownies how to tie them on with the reef knot. For the Brownie investituro cere- mony the Company formed the horseshoe and the colours were paraded. The Brownies then made their Fairy Ring inside the horse- shoe with the eight “Little Lost Fairies" in a pow-wow circle in the center, one at n. time these little recruits made their promises, rec- eived their pins and became Brownies. The Brownie song was then lung as the Pack danced around in a ring. The eight enrolled Brownies. as their special privilege, gave the Grand Salute, after which the Fairy Ring disappeared and the Guide Company was dismissed from horse- shoe formation.
