Lena Caroline McLure, Women's Editor, Phone 8506 ‘The Guardian, Charlottetown, Mon, Dec. 8, 1958 Several Types Of Meal Make Very Good Steak 7 By IDA BAILEY ALLEN “When is a steak not a steak ~I mean to the average per- son?" chuckled the Chef. “When it‘s a cut of any meal except beef," he answered himself. “In reality, there are several meats beside beef that make very good steaks. For example: velal steak, pork steak, ham steak, liver steak, venison steak and lamb steak. NEW IDEA “A new idea is turkey steak can be sliced an inch or more thick, and broiled or sauteed, is really steak. When homcm‘akers realize this and buy more of the other varieties, the price of first— quality beef steak will drop. Homemakers still do not realize how much influence they can ex— erlt on prices.” TOMORROW’S DINNER California tossed salad. broiled lambchopvs, browned whole po- tatoes, broccoli mi-mOsa. apricot- ‘rlatiusin compete, coffee, tea, milk.
