Roll call brought forth many interesting suggestions on a "home made Christmas gift." some weather, of the articles mentioned that could be given were: potholders. needlework, aprons, Christmas cakes. home made jams and jellies children's garments and many more. Among the cor- reepondence received during the month was a letter from the Rod Cross. thanking the blood donors of the district who were present at the clinic held in Montague re- oently. It was agreed that a donation be sent to the T. B. League at this time. The delegate chosen to represent the district at the next meeting of the Kings County Hos- pital Auxiliary was Mrs. Mack Munro. The secretary reported that a roaster had been ,urchnsed fair the school. An amount was voted to provide the children of the dis- trict with a treat at I" time. Boxes are also to be packed for the Infirmary. The sick committee reported two calls made during the month. One of the highlights of the evening was a presentation of a salad bowl ensemble to the hos- tess, Mrs. Colin MacDonald, by the members, in recognition of her hospitality, and the many times her house has been at the disposal of the whim Road Institute mem- bers for their meetings. Mrs. Mac; Donald was deeply touched by this unexpected gesture and thanked the members in suitable words. After the entertainment com- mittee had put on several interest- ins Contests. a penny sale was held by Mrs. Bob Campbell, in the absence of Mrs. Cecil Campbell. and the lucky ticket was held by Mrs. Mack Munroe. During the social hour that fol- lowed the meeting, a delicious lunch was served by the hostess, assisted by several of the mem- bers. The meeting closed with the National Anthem.
