The roads are in good condition and the farmers are busily engaged in hauling their produce to market, potatoes being a very iair crop, while the grain crop is light. “Our school is progressing rapidly under the efficient management of Miss Dutcher, who is qualified for the position. Building operations are carried on onan extensive scale in this vicinity. Mr. T. S. Stewart has completed a new barn at the cost of some five hundred dollars. The work was euperintended by Mr. Dominick White. Our enterprising farmer, Mr. Donald Munn, 13 busily engaged in repairing his buildings, that got badly damaged with the last storm. While Mr. Starbard Sampson Rose was returning home from Mr. William Mac- donald’s on Monday, his horse took fright and started to run, upsetting the waggon, throwing Mr. Rose violently to the ground, dislocating his shonlder and causing inter- nal injuries JUMBO.
