Curl Jurgens, Eddie Albert. fiFrom the factual files of World War II comes the little known account of the dedicated Austrian Colonel, director of the famous Spanish Riding School of Vienna, who disregards his German Commander’s orders and courageously evacuates the priceless Lippizan Stallions from bombarded Vienna during the critical months of the war. With rare ingenuity and daring he smuggles the famed horses through war-torn Austria to the high country of St. Martin where General Patton offers sanctuary for the Stallions returning them later to peaceful Vienna so that once again the world will know the magnificence of these White‘ Stallions.
