Posters Come Down Early By Nola MacDonald There was a bit of a twist to the Student Council Election Campaign this year. Posters all across campus that were not posted to bulletin boards came down a few days early. On the other hand, it was not just campaign posters that came down. Posters for Aids awareness, Interna- tional Racism Awareness day, Alchohol Awareness Week, and the Business Society pub were all re- moved. Apparently, the campus walls were starting to looka bit cluttered and were being damaged by the posters. Tape was sticking to the paint and pealing it off the walls. Maintenance took down the posters and put them away. Owners were advised to talk to maintenance in each of the buildings to retrieve them. Next year, candidates will be advised that if their posters are not on bulletin boards, or other designated areas, mainte- nance will tear them down and destroy them. — UPEI X-P RESS March 26, 1992 Racism Awareness Day By Nola MacDonald Last Saturday was International Racism Awareness _ Day.
