ELIZABETH NICHOLSON 0n Dec. 25th, 1936, there passed away at the Prince Edward Island Hospital, Mrs. Elizabeth Nicholson, widow of the late Daniel Nichol- son of Darlington, P.E.I. She had ibeen in failing health for about two years and had undergone an operation at the hospital, from which she failed to regain strength. She was aged forty-eight years. She was a native of Darlington, her maiden name being Elizabeth Younker, and she lived in the same community for most of her life. She was highly respected for hcr many kindly qualities as a de- voted wife and a loving mother. Her illness she bore without com- plaint, and faced the unknown with confident faith. Her husband and two daughters predeceased her. She is survived by a young daughter, Reta Belle, of Dai-lington. and by three sons, John and Stirling, of Darlington. and Lorne of lVheatley River, P. E. I. Also by two grandchildren, Randolph and CatlierineElizabeili. children of John and. Mrs. Nich- olson. of Dorllngton. A sister, Mrs. Douglas Simms of liarisville, and five brothers, Mel- ville Younker. in the Canadian West; Ben and Douglas Younkcr. of North Wiltshire; and Russell and Bruce Younker of Darlington, are also left to mourn. The funeral, which was largely attended was held from the home of hcr brother, Russell Younkenoi Darlingioil. on Dec. 28in. 1936. It was conducted by Rev. (3.0. Web- ster of Charlottetown. assisted by Rev. W. A. MacQuarrie of Hunter River. Favorite hymns were sung by hcr neighbors and friends.
