It rested on an innocent looking electric light wire, and hung down over the side of the shed just within the reach of passers by. Presently the blanket became wet from the heavy rain and charged with electricity. When the rain had ceased William Kirk thought the blanket would dry better in the house, and attempted to take it off the roof. When he caught hold of it he was surprised, The blanket was loaded, and William stood rooted to the spot with aston- ishment and electricity combined for several seconds.
