      Workshop
      planned
      with
      you
      in
      mind.
      We’ve
      designed
      this
      Workshop
      packed
      with
      useful
      information
      and
      tips
      to
     
     
      help
      you
      make
      the
      best
      of
      your
      experience
      at

      How
      do
      we
      know
      we
      can
      help?
      Well,
      MAPUS
      is
      an
      organization
      made
      up
      of
      older
      students
      like
      you
      who
      have
     
     
      taken
      the
      big
      plunge
      and
      decided,
      for
      any
      number
      of
      reasons,
      to
      come
      to
      university.
      We
      know
      all
      about
      it!
     
    
   
   
    
     
      What
      kind
      of
      topics
      will
      be
      covered?
      Those
      that
      have
      been
      most
      helpful
      in
      the
      past.
      "How
      to
      study"...because
     
     
      you've
      probably
      forgotten
      how
      (or
      never
      really
      learned)
      and
      we
      know
      you
      can
      do
      it!
      “How
      to
      write
      essays
      and
     
     
      papers"...because
      writing
      is
      a
      question
      of
      learning
      some
      skills
      and
      following
      some
      rules.
      "How
      to
      manage
      your
     
     
      time"...because
      an
      hour
      saved
      is
      an
      hour
      gained.
      “How
      to
      get
      what
      you
      want"...because
      you
      probably
      feel
      a
      little
     
     
      (a
      lot?)
      threatened
      in
      the
      university
      environment.
      "How
      to
      manage
      stress"...because
      we
      know
      what
      with
      everything
     
     
      else
      going
      on
      in
      your
      life
      it
      takes
      a
      little
      doing!
      And
      we're
      still
      working
      at
      getting
      the
      very
      best
      for
      you.
      We
      might
     
     
      even
      throw
      in
      a
      little

      The
      Workshop
      will
      take
      place
      on
      a
      Saturday,
      since
      we
      hope
      that
      the
      timing
      will
      conflict
      as
      littie
      as
      possible
      with
     
     
      your
      courses
      and
      studies.
      We've
      selected
      January
      30th
      in
      the
      hope
      that
      while
      you've
      settled
      into
      your
      new
      courses
     
     
      you
      will
      not
      yet
      have
      entered
      mid-term
      madness.
      The
      Workshop
      will
      begin
      at
      9:00
      but
      we
      would
      like
      to
      meet
      and
     
     
      greet
      you
      with
      a
      cup
      of
      coffee
      around
      8:30am.
      It
      will
      end
      at
      5:00pm
      or
      thereabouts.
      A
      light
      lunch
      will
      be
      provided
     
     
      with
      cost
      included
      in
      your
      registration
      fee.
     
    
   
   
    
     
      The
      days
      events
      will
      take
      place
      at
      "your
      home
      away
      from
      home
      on
      Campus"
      the
      MAPUS
      Lounge.
      In
      case
      you
     
     
      don’t
      know
      where
      that
      is,
      the
      Lounge
      is
      located
      in
      Bernardine
      Hall
      and
      the
      entrance
      is
      just
      opposite
      the
      University
     
     
      Cafeteria.
      You
      might
      want
      to
      check
      it
      out
      beforehand.
      (Believe
      it
      or
      not
      some
      mature
      students
      don’t
      even
      know
     
     
      it
      exists.
      What
      a
      pity!
      We've
      got
      a
      fridge,
      a
      stove,
      a
      coffee
      pot
      with
      coffee
      at
      $0.25,
      a
      micro-wave,
      lockers,
      and
     
     
      most
      important,
      a
      lot
      of
      mature
      students
      who
      hang
      out!)
     
    
   
   
    
     
      The
      bad
      news
      is
      that
      we
      will
      be
      limiting
      registration
      to
      thirty
      people
      and
      will
      cancel
      if
      we
      have
      not
      received
      twelve
     
     
      registrations
      by
      January
      21st.
      All
      you
      have
      to
      do
      to
      register
      is
      to
      drop
      over
      to
      the
      MAPUS
      Lounge
      and
      fill
      out
      a
     
    
   
   
    
     
      registration
      form.
      Cost
      of
      the
      workshop
      is
      $15.00
      and
      will
      include
      lunch.
