Page Bldg, Halifax, N. 8., Thursday, the 28th inst. Dr. J. G. MacDougali, President, presided at the Meeting. The reports presented chewed that the Company has had an ex- ccllcnt year and made records which are uncxcellcd. New Business Issued totaled $2,- 548,460, bringing the total Insurance in Force to $12,362,128, and showing n percentage increase of 8.9%. ‘Ihis increase amounted to 39.6% of the business issued during the year, a record probably not equalled. The Total Premium Incon1e for the past year amounted to $328,155.35 as compared with $303,- 801.85 for: the 1irevious Year. The Compunyu Assets increased 19.1% to $1,169,191.63 whereas the Reserves now amount to $834,692.00, showing the large increase of 27.8%. Perhaps the best showing of all was made by the Security behind the Company's Policies, as after providing for investment reserves, the Company holds $130. in Assets for every $100. of liabilities to pol- icyholders. It was shown that the business for the year had been conducted at a very economical expense, and that the Mortality experience was well within the expected. Illustrating the growth oi’ the Company it may be noted that in 1925 the Company had Business in Force of $2,159,596, in 1928 $6,817,- 672 and es 31st December last $12,- 362.128.
