Some report. that the minks are slower priming this season, which is n0 doubt. in- iluenced by the absence of cold weather. Between two hundred and filty and three hundred annuals] \vi1l be pelted by the ranchers inl this area. i The Gorernment machines were iii Georgetown a few days ago and did some grading and ditching of the ground around the new Rink and Recreational Centre. Work on the Centre is progress- ing very rapidly and satisfactorily. The root has been completed and covered with asphalt shingles. The west wail and part oi the south cnd are now covered with a rczl and black brick siding material. The windows are all in place on the south end and shutters are being made tor the side windows. The work on the built-on pump house on the west side is now completed. It has a {our loot deep concrete wall (below ground) and will have a rotary pump and electric motor. The promenade wall has been erected and work on the erection o! the two fines is going ahead rapidly. The elec- trical wiring u! the building is scheduled to start within a few days and will be done by Mr. HS. MacLesn. local electrical contract- or. Mr. Rndey MscMilian or Wood Island, who was foreman during the time of the framing o! the building and until the roof construction was completed, has terminated his duties and Mr. Albert Skinner is now Iorcman. Mayor P. L.
